Export from MyMusicStaff (5 min).
Go to Settings → Data Export. Download students.csv and lessons.csv. (Invoices are easier to recreate than to migrate cleanly.)

Sign up for Segnoly (1 min).
Pay-as-you-earn or 30-day Studio trial — no credit card either way.

Import students (3 min).
Drag your students.csv into Segnoly. We auto-map the columns; you confirm and click import.

Recreate your weekly lesson grid (5 min).
On the calendar, drag a recurring slot for each student. Weekly recurrence is one click — DST-safe.

Connect Stripe (3 min).
Settings → Integrations → Connect Stripe. Stripe walks you through their Express onboarding; you're back in Segnoly in 3 minutes.

Send a test invoice (3 min).
Pick a student, click “Generate invoice”, send to yourself. Pay it. Watch the webhook update the invoice. Done.
FAQ
About switching.
Can I run both at the same time during the switch?
Yes. Run MyMusicStaff and Segnoly in parallel for a billing cycle if you want — Stripe Connect on Segnoly is a separate connected account, so payments don't collide. Once you're happy, cancel MyMusicStaff.
Will my historical invoice data come over?
Students and lessons import cleanly. Historical invoices are messier — most teachers just keep them in MyMusicStaff for reference and start fresh in Segnoly. PDF copies of paid invoices are fine to keep.
What if I've already paid for a year of MyMusicStaff?
That's their refund policy. Run Segnoly free on Pay-as-you-earn (up to 25 students) until your MyMusicStaff term ends, then switch fully. No need to double-pay.
What about my parents' saved cards?
Stripe Customer records don't transfer between Stripe Connect accounts. The first time a parent pays a Segnoly invoice they re-enter their card; it saves there for next time.
Do you have a parent portal?
Yes — every student gets a private parent portal link. Parents see upcoming lessons, attendance history, and outstanding invoices, and can pay from there.
